At the United Diplomatic Council (UDC), diplomacy is not confined to tradition — it is redefined to meet the urgency of modern global dynamics. UDC brings together the highest levels of statecraft, enterprise, and innovation to navigate the challenges and opportunities of an interconnected world. Our areas of diplomacy are strategically designed to foster meaningful dialogue, forge international partnerships, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Agriculture Diplomacy
UDC investigates the broader context of smallholder farmers' operations in various countries and provides insights into the options that smallholder farmers in poor developing countries have when engaging in agricultural undertakings for additional income generation. UDC conducts effective programs that could support them to alleviate poverty, reduce hunger, and achieve sustainable livelihood.
UDC helps in enabling policy environment which is necessary to ensure the success of this strategic intervention in lifting and supporting sustainable livelihoods of rural farmers struggling with the precarity of their life situation.
Energy Diplomacy
UDC believes that Energy has played a central role in global diplomacy, impacting alliances, wars, and economic policies. As states attempt to guarantee steady energy supply, oil and gas have become political bargaining chips.
In the twenty-first century, energy diplomacy remains crucial to international relations, with key players such as the United States, Russia, China, and the European Union influencing policies that affect global stability. UDC supports that convergence of energy policy and diplomacy is more important than ever.
Financial Diplomacy
UDC Financial diplomacy refers to the strategic use of financial policies, tools, and systems by countries to achieve their foreign policy goals. This can include imposing financial sanctions, negotiating debt relief, coordinating macroeconomic policies, and shaping global financial regulations.
UDC works on programs with a specific focus on financial aspects, such as the role of currencies like the U.S. dollar in global markets.
Soft Power Diplomacy
UDC works on Soft power diplomacy which is seen as a complement to traditional diplomacy, and focuses on government negotiations and agreements. Soft power has the potential to create a favourable environment for diplomatic relations by promoting mutual understanding, establishing networks of contacts, and gaining public support for diplomatic initiatives.

Defense Diplomacy
UDC works on various exercises for the advocacy of Defense diplomacy to the use of military and defense resources to achieve foreign policy objectives and promote national security through peaceful means. At UDC we use this concept in international relations that involves the peaceful employment of identifying defense resources to achieve positive outcomes in bilateral and multilateral relationships.
It encompasses a range of activities, including connecting defence partners, personnel exchanges, joint exercises, and high-level engagements between defense officials from different countries.
Water Diplomacy
Water diplomacy can be defined as the use of diplomatic instruments to existing or emerging disagreements and conflicts over shared water resources with the aim to solve or mitigate those for the sake of cooperation, regional stability, and peace. UDC believes that water diplomacy has brought heightened attention to both water governance and water-related challenges and risks.
Various actors and institutions have recently been tasked with carrying out water diplomacy tasks that they are neither mandated, nor capable, of executing.
UDC Round-tables and Transformative Discussions
The UDC Roundtables and Global UDC Forum serve as an open, nonpartisan venue to the international diplomatic community, business organizations and academia, dedicated to developing critical, sustainable, investment and social priorities, while connecting global leaders to financial resources necessary for progress, peace and innovation.
UDC has a series of deliberations all round the year for enhanced participation from all stakeholders.
